Evil Masquerade была основана летом 2003 года в Копенгагене гитаристом Henrik Flyman (Lacrimosa, ex Wuthering Heights, Moahni Moahna, ZooL). На место ударника он пригласил Dennis Buhl (ex Hatesphere), Kasper Gram - в качестве бас-гитариста, а вокалистом стал бывший участник Royal Hunt Henrik Brockmann. В 2004 году они выпустили дебютный альбом под названием Welcome to the Show. Почти тотчас же группа получила мировое признание.
